CIBUS Parmesan Wedge 125 Gr
It is one of the oldest Italian cheeses. It is obtained from cow’s milk. It is a hard cheese. It is produced from skimmed milk. Its aging period is between 8 months and 2 years. The 18-month-old version is pale yellow, sharper, and distinctly granular, while also being richer in aroma and flavor. It is like the sibling of Parmigiano Reggiano. The main difference is the region of production. The differences in flavor, color, and texture between the two cheeses are due to the differences in the diets of the cows that provide the milk used in production. It has a more granular structure compared to Parmigiano Reggiano and can easily crumble between the fingers. The four-leaf clover on its rind is the symbol of Grana Padano and a guarantee of the cheese’s quality. It is generally used by being sprinkled over pasta, salads, and Carpaccio. Fully matured ones are used only by being grated or turned into powder. It pairs wonderfully with wines.
